The small group presentation, "Driven by Data: The Spanish Fort High School ACT Improvement Plan," will explore a strategic, data-driven approach to enhancing student performance on the ACT. The presentation will outline the current ACT performance trends at Spanish Fort High School, identify key areas for improvement based on data analysis, and introduce targeted instructional strategies designed to address student needs. It will highlight research-based methods, including differentiated instruction, test-taking strategies, and academic interventions, to support student growth. Additionally, the presentation will incorporate a small group activity where participants analyze sample data sets to propose actionable steps for improvement. By the end of the session, attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how data can be leveraged to drive meaningful academic progress.
I am currently an assistant principal at Spanish Fort High School. I have over ten years of experience in education. My background is in data management and analysis. I am currently working on my doctorate in educational leadership.

Seeing faces and images helps the students envision, relate, and ultimately remember the details of the subject matter. And, for your visual learners this is especially helpful. Areas that will be examined include vocabulary, comprehension skills, and related content areas.
