This session will equip new school counselors and social workers with essential updates on policies, procedures, and best practices to confidently navigate their new roles at BCBE. Key topics include: Handbook & Policy Updates – Guidelines, expectations, and ethical responsibilities. Critical Protocols – Crisis intervention, student referrals, confidentiality, and mandated reporting. Curriculum & Resources – P.A.T.H. Counseling Curriculum, initiatives, and trauma-informed practices. Legal & Policy Changes – Updates on student privacy laws, anti-bullying policies, and college/career readiness mandates. By the end, participants will feel informed, confident, and prepared to apply these updates, ensuring effective student support .
