About me
Mrs. Amy Merryman serves as a Regional Coordinator for the Office of Mathematics Improvement (OMI) with the Alabama State Department of Education. Bringing 29 years of experience in education, her extensive career includes roles as a classroom teacher, ARI coach, K-12 instructional coach, high school academy specialist, assistant principal, and principal. She has worked across all grade levels, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Mobile and obtained her administrative certification from the University of South Alabama. Coming from a proud lineage of educators, Amy embraces her identity as a lifelong learner, continually striving to inspire excellence in education.
